The striking white Tiger of South Asia is not an albino, nor does it constitute distinct sub-species of tigers.  White tigers are ordinary tigers with a genetic condition that makes their coloration paler. Many enjoy the awesome beauty of these rare creatures – from their striking blue eyes to their distinctive pink noses. A white tiger can be born from two darker Bengals that carry the appropriate recessive gene.  Only a dozen or so of these magnificent creatures have been spotted in the wild over the last 100 years.  You can follow beautiful white tigers all year long with this thrilling wall calendar.
